To begin with, extensive surface mechanical preparation and remedial work had to be carried out by Resin Floors Telford before installation, as there were multiple areas of weak friable concrete which had to be treated before the floor could be coated. By removing these Resin Floors Telford provided a smooth aesthetic floor finish. The first product applied by Resin Floors Telford was UZIN PE 425. The water-based primer penetrates deeply into the substrate providing a deep reinforcement of the top screed. Arturo EP6500 primer was then applied and scattered with Fine Sand to produce a mechanical key for the next layer. The 3,100m² area has considerable footfall, and multiple vehicles drive over it daily. This meant the floor had to be very durable, therefore UZIN NC 770 Industrial Top was applied.  The self-smoothing cement-based compound helps provide a wear-resistant floor with good resistance against impact and abrasion. Resin Floors Telford and Arturo needed to supply a durable and heavy-duty floor in the wash bay area. Two coats of Arturo EP3900 epoxy high-build coating were applied over the UZIN NC 770 to provide the final floor with a seamless gloss finish whilst providing durable and hard-wearing protection. The Epoxy high build coating system was applied to all areas, including drive-in lanes.

The customer was very happy with the finished product.
