This prestigious recognition, granted in May following two years of rigorous research and development, underscores the product's sustainability across its entire lifecycle, as verified by independent experts.
Arturo's commitment to minimising its ecological footprint is reflected in its corporate philosophy and the stringent criteria of the Cradle-to-Cradle certification. The Arturo PU2050 floor coating met the demanding standards across five key areas: raw material quality, material reuse, renewable energy usage, responsible water management, and social responsibility. Arturo PU2050: Exceptional Ratings Across Key Categories
The Arturo PU2050 self-smoothing resin floor excelled in the certification process, earning a gold rating in the “Renewable Energy” category. It is produced at our eco-friendly facility in Haaksbergen, Netherlands, where resins are manufactured in a CO2-neutral factory and only utilise renewable energy sources. Additionally, the product achieved silver ratings in three categories, including “Reuse of Materials,” where over 65% of its weight comprises recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, or rapidly renewable materials. Silver ratings were also awarded for responsible water use during production and Arturo's commitment to social responsibility throughout the supply chain. The sourcing of raw materials received a bronze rating, reflecting our efforts to replace harmful substances with more sustainable alternatives wherever possible. Notably, 85% of PU resin floor is derived from non-toxic, plant-based raw materials. Arturo PU2050 offers further advantages, including liquid density, flexibility, and exceptional wear resistance, making it resilient against damage and point loads, particularly in environments with swivel wheels. This makes the decorative coating ideal for light to medium-duty flooring in offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and schools.
Recertification of Arturo PU2030
Arturo PU2030 resin floor also obtained recertification, achieving bronze status. This certification is renewed every two years to ensure continuous improvement and optimisation of products and processes. Arturo PU2030 is available in various colours and is renowned for its low emissions, UV stability, and flexibility. It provides excellent underfoot comfort for residential and light commercial use.
