What is an EPD?
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently validated document that provides insight into a product's full environmental impact. From raw material to the end of life. Our EPDs are published via MRPI,® affiliated with ECO Platform, and are drawn up according to EN15804 and NMD Determination Method 1.2. This provides transparent, reliable, and internationally comparable data.
The role of an LCA
Every EPD starts with a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), an in-depth environmental analysis of all phases in the product life cycle. For Arturo floor systems, these LCAs are checked by recognised specialists and translated into validated EPDs. This gives you clear, useful information to make responsible material choices.
ECI as a control number
The Environmental Cost Indicator (ECI) is a metric that quantifies a product's total environmental impact. This value is calculated based on the underlying LCA data of our products. In our EPDs, these LCA results are displayed transparently, so that you get direct insight into the environmental impact.
