Young and dynamic company Coolblue was seeking a new working environment for all its office activities. The new head office is located in the centre of Rotterdam on the Weena. The design has been created by architects Broekbakema.
The company Careson b.v. from Rotterdam took responsibility for carrying out the whole project. Besides the floor, the data management area, the organisation of the workplaces, the complete E and W installation and the installation of glass walls with which separate office spaces and theme rooms can be created, were also taken care of by Careson b.v.
The base of the interior is kept neutral so the powerful house style colours and theme rooms nicely come into their own. The theme rooms often have a nod to Rotterdam and reflect the creative and powerful style of this young company. All special furniture was designed right down to the details and perfectly matches the house style.
Self-smoothing floors from Arturo
The premises house different spaces with an Arturo self-smoothing floor. Accordingly, the ‘ape cage’ has been given its own identity with the banana-yellow coating from Arturo. The canteen also provided by Careson also has an Arturo self-smoothing floor.
In the entrance of this building the white self-smoothing floor reinforces the powerful blue of Coolblue on the walls. The toilets, pantries and copier/printer corners are fitted with a blue self-smoothing floor. A green coating in the sports/wind-down room and a concrete look in the warehouse room complete the design.
Adhesives and levellers from UZIN
The products from UZIN are used for the adhesion of the different types of floor covering. Levelling ensures a perfect surface.
