Dolphinarium, Harderwijk
The restaurant de Dageraad lies straight on the Dolphinarium beach. At the end of a nice Dolphinarium day you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with a delicious cup of coffee. This location is also ideally suitable for parties and business gatherings. Spacious and professional sanitary facilities are obviously important here.

The technical know-how and products from Arturo and UZIN were used for the renovation of the floors. The technical work was in the hands of Van Voorst Projektendienst from Ede and BE Vloer en Visie from Oldenzaal. The sanitary spaces were designed by the company Toletto from Hengelo.

Renovation of toilet facilities and baby care area
During the renovation of the dated toilet facilities it was opted for the rearrangement of the ground plan with improved logistics and capacity distribution. The combination of materials with wall visuals, a self-smoothing floor and clever details in the sanitary facilities ensure hygiene and ease of cleaning. This is obviously an important condition for sanitary facilities with a high visiting frequency.

Design
On the request of Toletto, Arturo Studio came up with a concept that exactly matched the design of the spaces and the wall visuals. The self-smoothing floor was laid by BE Vloer en Visie from Oldenzaal.

Restaurant renovation
The existing floor in the restaurant part was not stable. On the advice of the Technical Commercial Adviser from UZIN, the existing parquet floor was removed including the wooden construction. A new covering floor was subsequently laid. With this new covering floor the Dolphinarium can welcome large numbers of guests each day without any problems. A part the corridors around the restaurant was provided with tiles. This floor had to nicely meet the new covering floor, so various transitions were tidily repaired. The floor is levelled with UZIN NC 170 Levelstar. A dilatation was created with Kuberit dilation profile to prevent showing through and cracking. The whole floor was then finished with PVC strips. The PVC strips have a natural “wood look“ and match the space to perfection. For van Voorst Projektendienst this metamorphosis a was nice technical challenge. Besides a problematic subfloor, the restaurant part also had many corners. This meant a lot of cutting was required. UZIN KE 2000 S was used to glue the PVC strips.

Floors for change
The visitor experience at the Dolphinarium is well thought-out and implemented, and now even continued to the sanitary spaces. Here Arturo FlooringArturo Flooring shows that the floor can make an important contribution to the perception of these spaces. You can now even come up against the animals at the Dolphinarium during a visit to the toilet!
