Westfield Shopping Centre

Central Flooring Services have worked on a significant flooring project at a leading retailer in one of London’s most popular shopping centres. Before the project could proceed, the client requested different coloured samples of the Arturo Comfort Resin Floor UV, which were sent for approval. There are many advantages to using Arturo Comfort Resin Floor UV as it is available in a wide range of colours and does not discolour when exposed to direct sunlight. Arturo floors are also seamless, creating an open and spacious appearance that is easy to clean and maintain. Arturo Comfort Resin Floor UV has excellent underfoot comfort and is ideal for frequent foot traffic in busy retail environments because it is hardwearing and scratch-resistant.  The major retailer loved the Easy Grey sample from the Arturo Colour Collection and gave the go-ahead. Easy Grey is an industrial concrete grey that suits the retailer’s decor and branding.

Central Flooring started the 900m² project on the 26^th of February. After preparing the substrate, Central Flooring first applied Arturo EP6600 primer over the subfloor before applying Arturo PU2060 self-smoothing floor as a body coat, followed by Arturo PU2030 self-smoothing floor in Easy Grey. Arturo PU resins are made from castor oils from the Ricinus plant, and therefore, 85% of the ingredients for Arturo PU resins are obtained from natural, plant-based raw materials. Arturo resins are also manufactured in a CO2-neutral environment at an energy-efficient facility in the Netherlands. The premises embody the latest sustainable technology and help offset the environmental impact of manufacturing. The flooring was completed on the 8^th of March, ending with a stunning, seamless look.  The client's feedback since completing the project has been nothing but positive, exceeding their expectations.
